What is Chelation Therapy?

Chelation is the process of eliminating heavy metals such as lead, arsenic or mercury from the body through the intravenous injection of a chelating agent.

The goal of Chelation therapy is to remove heavy metals or toxins from the body and is done mainly through the use of a chelating agent called EDTA (ethylene diamine tetra-acetic acid) – a synthetic amino acid.
