Bio-identical Hormone Therapy

hormone-therapy Young Foundational Health Center uses bio-identical hormones as much as we possibly can in the treatment women who have menopausal signs and symptoms. Bio-identical hormone therapy employs the use of hormones like Estradiol and Progesterone in easing menopausal discomfort. We have learned from years of study that the use of Estrogen causes a big increase in cancer rates. Over 400 studies have shown that using Estrone or Estradiol, which are other forms of Estrogen, there have been no signs of increased cancer rates of any type as these hormones are made out of yams. Our goal is to balance the hormones so that the patient feels better and does not have the menopausal signs and symptoms like hot flashes and is able to carry on her normal life.

Young Foundational Health Center also has a similar therapy for patients suffering with thyroid hormone issues. We will order a full hormone panel and evaluate your thyroid function, adrenal function, female and male hormone production. Once completed we will discuss your options, benefits and risks prior to initiation of therapies. Expect follow-up appointments every four to six weeks until symptoms are controlled.
