What Are Autoimmune Diseases?
An autoimmune disease occurs when the body mistakenly confuses its own cells with a foreign intruder or infection and begins to attack itself in an immune response.
In the case of autoimmune diseases, delayed allergy testing is very helpful in determining whether there is inflammation being caused by foods or other environmental factors leading to an increase the inflammatory response. From there, the patient’s biochemical makeup is analyzed to find out what is going on in the immune system and, if so, try to correct it.
Another area is fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. This is a very difficult disease. We go back to doing the basics and we will often break them down biochemically to see why aren’t we producing energy. What is the actual cause? Looking at the Krebs’s cycle. Looking at how we make energy in the body. Another area is dementia or decreased memory. We really follow what UCLA has done in looking at dementia in using Turmeric which dissolves the amyloid deposits you see in these Alzheimer’s patients in their brain. We will use Piracetam which is a nutraceuticals here in America. It takes the information from one side of the brain and moves it to the other so you can get that word that you cannot remember and get it out. A lot of babies are on Piracetam. A lot of actors use it to help in memory. We will also do Ozone as we find that sometimes this is the fastest and works in some patients within 5 minutes in helping to increase their memory and rejoin society.
